The XXI century — the information age in the history of mankind. In order to somehow brighten up such depressing trend, were invented different methods of speed reading, allowing us to obtain information from printed sources much faster than before. But do they really work?

Those who have the best working memory or ability to process information quickly, able to recognize up to 600 characters per minute. However, all the allegations that people can double or even triple your reading speed, the researchers presented highly questionable. Studies have shown that most techniques of speed reading makes it impossible to fully understand and correctly perceive the material.
