Algolux introduced the Ion platform, the development of Autonomous observation systems
Source:Algolux, established in 2015, is not yet particularly well-known in a crowded field of automotive computer vision. However, this startup from Quebec attracted the attention of investors. The System provides Algolux machine learning and computer vision to users who seek to create a comprehensive solution that includes various regulations of the regulatory authorities, and security features designed for systems operating in challenging environments.
The Company claims that Ion can be used to create a more traditional or "radical new designs". And this ability applies to any type of sensors, processors, and the task of perception. Ion is based on neural networks Eos and Atlas, several different modules designed to fine tune camera. Developers get the opportunity to apply a comprehensive approach based on their individual needs.
Vice-President Dave Tokic notes that the key difference of the company from its competitors is a kind of "agnosticism" of the brand. This allows companies to use different products for different needs and reduce costs.
"Our Ion platform consists of tools (Atlas) and embedded software stacks (Eos), which uniquely provides a complete solution for creation of systems of perception," he says. "The team can optimise and in-depth study of the perception sensors, and cameras (including planning and monitoring), obtaining better performance and avoiding the inefficient traditional processes of design".
