Rostec creates a platform for unifying all systems of "smart city"
Source:Today there are a lot of technologies so-called smart cities. It's traffic lights, unmanned vehicles, cameras and a whole bunch else. And it would be nice to combine all these things into a single system. This currently is the focus of the concern Automation (part of state Corporation rostec), which creates a unique platform "Videogard". It may in future become a basis for smart cities.
"Videogard" should combine the system "Safe city", "ERA-GLONASS" and "112". They include, in addition to emergency services, video surveillance, panic buttons, and other technologically advanced items such as fire systems, systems of environmental monitoring and systems analysis of traffic conditions. According to the press service of Rostec, a new development minimizes the response time to an emergency situation and increase the safety of citizens, and also optimizes the work of emergency services and reduce the costs of maintaining disparate information centers.
"the Main problem of integrating the information systems of the emergency services is that for each task at different times was created and operated systems, using different hardware and software. Platform", Videocard" will allow without significant investments in the replacement and reprogramming of devices to unite all system that will give the opportunity to create crisis centers, which will aggregate all information in one point".
"Videogard" may be used as part of situational centers and monitoring centers, ranging from separate security elements to full system PSIM (Physical Security Information Management). PSIM based on the detection of an event that requires verification or certain actions. In the event of a threat, the information is automatically passed to the incident management system, where there will be specific measures have been taken to address this situation.
According to world statistics, the use of PSIM allows to annually reduce the number of crimes by 2-3% on 20% increase in the efficiency of law enforcement bodies and rescuers, as well as 30% increase in detection of offences. Work on the creation of a single platform was launched in April 2018, and to complete the development should be in may 2019. As stated by the project Manager of a special purpose concern "Automatics" Nina Adamova,
"the majority of CCTV systems installed in shops, cafes, restaurants, educational institutions and other places, have a spontaneous nature and address specific local problems. They will be replaced by a professional system that will be able to make a separate local sites are part of an integrated architecture of hardware-software complex "Safe city"".
