Chinese engineers proposed to build an underwater Hyperloop

Preliminary calculations conducted by the Institute of railway transport of China, showed that the construction of the submarine branch of the vacuum tunnel by the principle Hyperloop — quite feasible for the Chinese experts task. Most importantly — first to develop, manufacture and assemble all the necessary equipment and infrastructure. Submitted the draft ten-speed underwater tunnel involves the ability to get from the mainland to Taiwan in just 13 minutes.

Perhaps the Chinese engineers also liking the idea of Elon musk, who offered this technology before, so they decided to assess their own strength. Proposed by the designers of the vacuum ten-kilometer tunnel located under water, can become an integral part of the transport branches, total length of which will be about 180 kilometers.

This tunnel will significantly reduce travel and open up new possibilities of delivery of cargo in remote areas of Zhejiang province, because the speed of transport of the capsule moving inside the vacuum of the tunnel, theoretically capable of reaching 2000 kilometers per hour.

While this is only a draft, created by experts on paper, but if the Chinese decide that it will burn out, they can very quickly move from words to deeds. Who knows, maybe that they will be the first real Hyperloop?
